Senior Business Leader - Inspection Technology

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage calibrated machines, gages and fixtures across the site for quality assurance and control of aviation hardware
- Interact with military and commercial customer and regulators on calibration process
- Manage continuous improvement of the inspection technologies, gage control processes and policies at the site, as well as mentoring of all employees to those processes
- Manage a small to medium team of lead professionals
- Influence the development of strategy for the inspection, gage management and calibration technologies, including control of resources and influences policy formulation
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services around inspection, gage management and calibration technologies
- Track daily gage status and work with business units to drive to zero overdue gages to maintain a high levels of readiness
- Communicate difficult concepts and influence others' opinions on inspection, gage management and calibration technologies
- Develop relationships and work with key customers in support of business needs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing and Inspection Technology, C alibration/Gauge Management, and or Quality Management
Desired Qualifications
- Quality System Development experience
- Quality Engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience in a machining, welding, brazing, milling or grinding operation
- 5+ years in a Leadership role / management of others
- Ability to influence and lead others across a matrix organization
- Understanding of LEAN principals
- Prior experience working in a Union environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
