Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose: This Supply Chain Lean Leader will be responsible for driving sustainable business results, as measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Hoshin Kanri (HK) targets to improve, while also leading the development of lean leaders at all levels of the organization. Will have a strong interface with the financial function to ensure productivity activity is focused in the biggest areas of impact. This role will also partner with plant and functional leaders to accelerate the transformation of the S&OP, rough cut capacity planning, master scheduling / level production, and pull replenishment systems.

Essential Responsibilities: As the Supply Chain Lean Planning & Leader, key responsibilities will include:
  • Coach and develop team members at all levels of the organization to help them build their lean skills and become lean practitioners. Strong focus on problem solving, operating rhythms, daily management, genba and hoshin kanri
  • Develop capability across the spectrum on how to apply level and pull production concepts within a wide variety of complex manufacturing environments
  • Serve as a leader, facilitator, educator, advocate, and accountability partner to the Supply Chain leadership team and its customers
  • Partner closely with other divisions/functions to prioritize and improve critical, cross-functional processes across Aviation
  • Streamlining the material and information flow across the extended supply chain improving break-thru reductions in lead time from order to cash
  • Provide visibility into productivity priorities based on financial impact across the supply chain functions translating improvement action into bottom line P&L and Balance Sheet impact
  • Share best practices across different segments of GE
  • Manage and drive kaizen process to enable continuous improvement

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience leading multi-plant transformations of lean with an emphasis on S&OP, level production, heijunka application, and pull system
  • Knowledge of and experience applying lean in a variety of transactional and shop floor situations
  • Able to manage large amounts of financial and operational data and simplifying it for the user to prioritize actions (strong excel skills required)

  • Able to influence others - must be able to inform, convince, and persuade other using lean to drive sustainable results. Highly credible

  • Customer focused and demonstrates a high sense of urgency
  • Impactful communicator from the shop floor to the Boardroom
