Network Control Support Officer - Crewing

This role is a fixed term contract, and will be an average of fourteen shifts per 28 days, the shifts will be 12 hours shifts, typically from 0630am-1830pm (Day shift) , or 1830pm-0630am (Nightshift).

TEAM
As part of the Network Control team, and the wider Integrated Control Centre, the Crewing NCSO will provide direct support to the Crewing team whom makes up part of the Network Control Team. The team works collaboratively, taking full control of the airline operation on a 24/7 basis and ensures critical business decisions are made during periods of disruption. It is the role of the Crewing NCSO to provide critical cover during peak operating periods, where they will work 12-hour shifts, days 0630-1830 and nights 1830-10630
The Network Control functions work very closely together and consist of the following departments Crewing, Operations and Customer Disruption. The Crewing NCSO will support:
Crewing
Responsible for the welfare of our crew and ensuring they are given adequate rest between duties and days off. The Crewing team also ensures that our flights are legally and contractually compliant to operate with the right combination of crew and skills.
Network Control is comprised of highly a dedicated & experienced team with the purpose of ensuring safety & compliance and providing our customers with the highest possible quality of service is an integral part of the overall Integrated Control Centre.
We work closely with Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Cabin Services, Operations Planning, Safety and Security, and Maintenance Control.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Crewing:
- Call out crew from stand by crew for duties in a timely manner
- Monitoring for roster rule breaches and resolving them in a timely manner, ensuring they comply with FTL and union agreements.
- Ensure all flights have the expected complement of crew and take action to add or remove crew as necessary.
- Answering the phones
- Supporting the Crewing team on shift with additional tasks, when directed
