TEAM
As part of the Network Control team, and the wider Integrated Control Centre, the NCSO will provide direct support to the Operations function. The Network Control team consists of three functions; Customer Disruption, Operations and Crewing, who work collaboratively, taking full control of the airline operation on a 24/7 basis and ensures critical business decisions are made during periods of disruption.
It is the role of the NCSO to provide critical support to the Operations team, where they will work Days and Nights, 12-hour shifts, starting from either 0630 or 1830.
The Operations team are responsible for maintaining on time performance, tail assignment, flight watch and managing runway slots. The team also proactively monitors external factors such as weather changes and volcanic activity to maintain the flying programme.
Network Control is comprised of a highly a dedicated & experienced team with the purpose of ensuring safety & compliance and providing our customers with the highest possible quality of service is an integral part of the overall Integrated Control Centre.
We work closely with Navigation Delivery/Flight planning, Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Cabin Services, Operations Planning, Safety and Security, and Maintenance Control.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operations:
- Monitor and action ACARS messages, including catering requests
- Carry out the unserviceable items process
- Monitor and action emails into the Operations team inbox
- Monitor and action delay code alerts
- Send hot turn/arrival requests to airports and ensure compliance to the process
- Monitoring the slot dashboard and responding to requests in a timely manner
- Monitor our COVID inbox and provide a timely response to mandatory requests from the relevant health authorities
- Coordinating our planned swaps down route
- Request curfew extensions for any flight that is planned/estimated to bust due to delays on the day
- Day 2+3 checks to assist the Operations Officers
