Advanced Military Systems Staff Engineer

Job Description
As an Advanced Military Systems Staff Engineer you will:
- Work with internal experts, customers, and partners to define system and subsystem-level requirements
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules, and contract commitments
- Drive validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing
- Manage interfaces between components and execution organizations
- Manage technical , cost, and schedule execution using Integrated Master Schedules and Earned Value Management
- Ensure product safety and quality by applying robust processes for inspections, spec verification and deviation management
- Drive capability / schedule / cost / risk trades within the teams designing the components
- Develop standard work, operating metrics, and supporting analyses to drive execution and corrective actions
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Manage the overall product configuration and configuration control system
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a relevant engineering position
- Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with some of the following: engine/aircraft integration, engine component/systems design, engine performance, engine controls, engine validation/test, vehicle power/thermal systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead by influence
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with DoD customer and processes
- Active DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics from an accredited university or college
- Experience working in DoD EVM projects
Other:
- Due to security requirements this position requires a full-time in the office schedule
