Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (i.e. - dielectric, meggar, hipot, AC/DC, ATP, etc.)
  • Perform basic set up of fixtures.
  • Perform vapor blasting as required
  • Perform inventory counts and verification
  • Assist with proto-type or first time builds with guidance from higher level employees.
  • Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
  • Review expiration date of materials to ensure materials & equipment to ensure all are current.
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products; Good housekeeping skills
  • Frequently interact with internal and/or external customers and support functions (i.e. - Planners, Engineering) outside of home department.
  • May act as primary contact for auditors.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend part maintenance.
  • Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach
    Assist with labor & material quoting.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures
  • Participate in and lead team initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in assembly operations/manufacturing

Desired Characteristics:
  • 5 years experience in assembly operations
  • Expert understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications to analyze data (i.e. - Word, Excel, Oracle, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc)
  • Ability and willingness to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces
  • Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain Solder and Braze certification as required
  • Assembly knowledge of multiple product lines
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and well as proactively with limited supervision
  • Strong communication skills
