The work is academically rigorous, intellectually demanding, and requires exceptional problem-solving, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Our offices are in Bristol in the South West of England - an area fast becoming a major centre for robotics. The South West is a beautiful place to live, with good infrastructure, great universities and fabulous beaches not far away from the city of Bristol. Our offices are located a few minutes' walk from Filton Abbey Wood Station and on a regular bus route.

Roles and Responsibilities

In the 12-month Electrical & Electronic Engineering Placement , you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of electrical and electronic engineering, including customer engagement, requirements analysis, supporting with the design of machines and generators for multiple markets, defining a test specification, performing software product configuration and systems/customer acceptance testing, delivering training and consultancy services and getting involved in project work.

You will be guided by structured goals and objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects supported by your manager and team around you. We will support you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE experience. Your manager will offer coaching and mentoring, and the Company will provide the opportunity to connect with other placement students across the UK.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Currently studying towards an Electrical/Electronic Engineering related degree - penultimate/final year
  • Keen interest in Electrical/Electronic Engineering


Useful Information

  • All placements are available to penultimate/final year students and will start between June to August 2022, for a duration of 12 months.
  • Application deadline is 31st December 2021. However, we review applications on a rolling basis and encourage you to apply ASAP. Vacancies will close once filled.
  • The selection stages include online assessments, video interview and a final round interview.
