GE Edison Works is seeking an Electromagnetic (EM) Lead Engineer with experience working on programs and processes in the area of Electromagnetic measurement technologies. As part of larger cross-functional design team in Military Engineering, you will utilize your experience in electromagnetic measurements to solve complex material problems, mature measurement techniques and methods, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. At GE Edison Works in Cincinnati, OH you will have the opportunity to work with airframer & government customers on the cutting edge of aerospace propulsion.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute the EM test activities required to define and support the assigned Military components/systems that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product/program requirement
  • Develop and implement EM test plans to meet technical requirements of assigned components and systems for both research and production
  • With guidance, assist in the development of action plans to respond to test related issues / problems
  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and highly urgent problems
  • With guidance, recommend the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
  • Actively participate and present in technical and program reviews
  • Assure proper documentation of measured EM technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Provide technical and process leadership to less experienced team members on EM Design and Measurement techniques and methods
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science (Advance degrees preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Engineering position
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearance
  • Advanced knowledge and fundamental understanding of RADAR, material property measurements, test models, materials, and vector network analyzer operation
Desired Characteristics
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience with EM laboratory / testing

    • Curious leader with a true passion for expanding a world class EM laboratory
  • Working in a fast pace, ever changing military landscape, possess the ability to pivot or shift priorities as business needs dictate
  • Experience with electromagnetic analysis software such as HFSS or CST Microwave Studio
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, or Visual Studios
  • Knowledge and understanding of radars, S-parameters, and materials applications
  • Knowledge of measurements data collection software and post processing codes
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
