Job Description Summary The Electrical System Engineer position is responsible for driving requirements definition for new technology components, leading electrical supplier integration and interfacing with both airframer customers and electrical/electronic suppliers and partners.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities

As the Electrical System Engineer, you will
  • Lead or contribute to electrical system trade studies
  • Develop innovative designs and system architectures that meet and exceed stringent design requirements and goals
  • Work collaboratively with adjacent disciplines and partners
  • Implement plans to meet technical requirements of assigned components and systems
  • Lead and participate in technical and program reviews
  • Provide technical leadership to personnel and cross functional teams supporting the assigned projects
  • Develop and implement plans with guidance to meet technical requirements of assigned systems and components
  • Develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues / problems
  • Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
