What you will be doing
As Reliability Engineer you will collate and analyse technical data from supported fleets to ensure that the system and component trends are captured and reported to the business, so that the appropriate actions can be taken via the Reliability Committee, Maintenance Programme Committee and / or customer.
You will manage and prepare Reliability briefing packs and coordinate with other TUI Operators to ensure the Reliability Management Programme and the continued airworthiness of the fleet is maintained and developed including:
Uphold Control – Analysis of delay reports for production of fleet TDR metrics
Technical Records – review aircraft technical log book entries (PIREPS and Engineering comments) to identify failure trends to support AMP task frequency development.
Technical Support – liaise to identify data required for the Reliability Management Programme.
Part 145 / Third Party MROs – review base maintenance work cards (SSI, CPCP etc.) to identify maintenance trends and nil findings to support AMP task frequency development.
CAMO – assist with technical investigations in relation to Occurrence Reports.
Pilots and Cabin Crew – provide system and component performance feedback to support development of training manuals and material.
A key part of the role will be to attend TUI Fleet Technical Review Meetings and ensure the actions are progressed and implemented in a timely manner.
You will produce and present the Agenda (as part of a team) for the monthly Reliability Board Meetings and monitor the resulting actions for effectiveness and closure in a timely manner.
The role will require you to review the Boeing Configuration, Maintenance and Procedures for Extended Range operation documents at each up-issue to interpret changes to ETOPS equipment standard and bring these changes to the attention of the responsible Technical Support Engineer so that they can initiate a modification programme on relevant aircraft and/or spares.
You will be responsible for providing updated ETOPS Component Configuration Listing for inclusion in Company Approved Technical Publication.
You will be required to make recommendations to ensure the effectiveness of the TUI Group Maintenance programmes and make recommendations based on data analysis that will improve the performance of the TUI aircraft fleet.
The role will require you to manage, develop and maintain Reliability screens within AMOS.
What we are looking for
Engineering degree or Part 66 B licence holder (past licence/LWTR acceptable)
Extensive technical experience in aviation is preferred. relevant experience may override need for degree/licence
Knowledge of Part M, Part 145 and reliability analysis principles
Ability to interpret data, recommend changes and present at meetings
The ability to build relationships with other TUI Group and 3rd party operators to pool and develop reliability data and processes
Can work under pressure to react to operational requirements and time constraints
Ability to plan and organise in a methodical and analytical manner.
Numerate and literate, good communicator capable of presenting data and plans
IT literate (MS-Office) and able to work with AMOS and other Thomson IT applications
Able to hold a DfT Airside pass, has current UK passport and full driving licence
