Known internally as Airworthiness Engineer, the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge & experience working in a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation and hold full ARC Form 4 approval (or must be eligible to hold a Form 4 for full ARC approval per M.A.707). The scope of the role encompasses the accomplishment of Airworthiness Reviews and Airworthiness Engineer duties making the role varied, thus providing the successful applicant with a broad understanding and knowledge of Airworthiness departmental responsibilities. Applications are welcome from Licensed Engineers or Part M personnel with extensive knowledge/experience who meet the M.A.707 criteria.
What you will be doing
To actively control and endorse the standards of the continuing airworthiness management tasks, consistent with M.A.201 assuring;
The aircraft is maintained in an airworthy condition, and;
Any operational and emergency equipment fitted is correctly installed & serviceable or clearly labelled as unserviceable, and;
The airworthiness certificate remains valid, and forecasting for subsequent reviews
The maintenance of the aircraft is performed in accordance with the approved maintenance programme as specified in M.A.302
Will be required for stand by duty on a weekly basis covering ‘out of hours’ contact on
a rota basis to support the business needs.
To develop processes, procedures, compliance reports and carry out the Airworthiness
Reviews in accordance with M.A.710 (a) and Subpart I including;
Full documented review
Aircraft physical surveys
Transfer of aircraft registration within the EU; new and used
Aircraft imported into the EU; new and used
Managing allocated aircraft to ensure ARC’s are issued in a timely manner
To review all legislation pertaining to continuing airworthiness management.
Assist & provide guidance on NCR root cause analysis.
What we are looking for
Must be able to fulfil the requirements of AMC M.A.707 (a) Airworthiness Review Staff
A good knowledge of Part M, Part 145, Part 147 & Part 21, maintaining currency in the
industry through journals, publications etc.
Good IT skills & good working knowledge of TUI Airways’ operating system (AMOS)
Ability to plan and organise in a methodical and analytical manner
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to facilitate meetings and achieve results
Broad knowledge and understanding of a range of techniques to manage process change
& quality improvement
Excellent oral, written & presentation skills
