Supporting our Powerplant team and known internally as Powerplant Support Engineer, this role is responsible for the gathering all required documentation to support our end of lease activity. TUI are entering a phase of returning aircraft back to the lessors and this important role ensures all required paperwork is accurately collated, transcribed, reviewed and presented within agreed timescales in support of aircraft lease returns.
Whilst a background in Aviation Engineering would be highly advantageous, this role would also be suitable for those with an eye for detail, a technical mind-set and highly developed problem solving skills.
The position will be based in our Hangar 61, Luton so gives a great insight into the more behind the scenes working of an Airline and is being offered on a fixed term contract basis of approximately 24 months.
What you will be doing
Following a comprehensive agenda to ensure no areas are omitted, you will undertake a thorough review of historical aircraft technical documentation for completeness – this will include Aiworthiness Directive status reports, Service Bulletins, Form 1 and Back to Birth history amongst others and it is critical that all errors and/or omissions are fully investigated to ensure correctness. This will occasionally involve issuing of aircraft/engine survey work orders for the validation of current aircraft data and the accurate transcription of current aircraft/engine compliance data into standard report templates to generate lessor required documentation to a suitable standard and consistency.
You will work closely with our internal leasing team regarding task targets and deliverables. Externally you will work diligently to satisfy lessor generated queries and close issues within agreed timescales and liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturer/Supplier to locate original documentation.
You will be system savvy as you regularly use Stream and AMOS in your daily work.
A key part of the role will be to provide progress updates to the management team on a regular basis and identify areas of process improvement, leading to implementation of such recommendations.

Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar would be highly desirable
Basic knowledge of aircraft/engine systems of aircraft
Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Adobe
