You will lead the strategy for Mobile Apps alongside business objectives, delivering an effective plan and the App roadmap which will drive growth and maximise revenue of the channel. Working closely with GM Ecommerce and all IT development streams technical leads, you will ensure mobile app development is part of the joined up overall development strategy, in terms of new optimisation ideas, driving those through the CRO and UX development process.
In addition, you will work with web analytics team to ensure that the correct tracking and reporting is available. This will include monitoring competitors and market trends, managing customer feedback channels & app store reviews, coordinating UAT process (user acceptance testing), and managing the App Store publishing process to App Store and Google Play
Some other responsibilities will include to manage the Mobile App budget - processing purchase orders, invoices and managing the team finance tracker, and will secure stakeholder buy-in for app technologies and tools as required.
As a Mobile App Optimisation Lead, you will have a strong understanding and experience of Mobile App development, be a strong strategic thinker and be comfortable leading a team. Ambition to drive and maximise growth of the apps channel, identify revenue opportunities and deliver customers a ‘best in class' app experience that will enhance their booking and post booking experience. Also, experience working with App store management, PM tools (e.g. Jira, TFS), analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, App Annie, Crashlytics, Firebase) will be essential.
The successful candidate needs to bring proven 2-3 years of strategic leadership experience and a positive can do attitude to the team, be personable, proactive, organised and efficient with great attention to detail and commercial acumen. This role will suit a highly driven, bright and enthusiastic person, who is able to work on their own initiative, who is passionate about the travel industry with a strong focus on project management. Also, a solid understanding of Agile methodology and strong stakeholder management skills, together with the ability to communicate and present, will be key for this opportunity.
