Operations Control Manager

As theOperations Control Manageryou will have overall responsibility for the delivery of the Operations strategy and flying programme. Taking a considered approach to recovery actions and decisions you will ensure the continuity of the flying programme on a day to day basis. You will be a direct link between Operations and our Commercial and Fleet Planning Teams looking ahead to identify potential areas that may impact the overall operation for Jet2 .com mitigating potential delays for our customers and ‘On Time Performance'. These delays could occur from Technical delays, Weather and performance limited airfields, Air Traffic Strikes, unplanned Aircraft diverts or any other unforeseen circumstances.
With a continuous improvement approach you will work with the Team and key stakeholders in the business to develop and improve processes, ensuring maximum utilisation of resources in the Team. You will be responsible for the planning of staffing levels and structure, to make sure the department is fit for purpose in line with company expansion. You will continue to develop the Operations Training Programme and the ongoing changes within the Operations Training & Procedures Manual. In conjunction with the Data Analyst you will monitor performance closely in line with CAA regulations, keeping up to date with the latest safety and security matters and taking corrective action where required.
The successful candidate will have previous management experience with in an Airline Operations environment, with a heavy focus on Customer Delivery and ‘On Time Performance'. You must be able to demonstrate an up to date knowledge of Flight Planning, Maintenance Planning, Aircraft performance and Crewing. You will be able to show credible leadership and experience of successfully coaching and developing others within an operational environment, with advanced decision making skills and the ability to think commercially at all times. As an engaging and confident communicator, you will also need to be able to demonstrate a high degree of resilience and experience of working in fast paced and a constantly evolving business.
