Supplier Relationship Manager (Technical)

My client, a major airline based in the UK, is looking for a Technical Supplier Relationship Manager with manufacturing experience to support the team, willing to work at two different French locations during the week, as well as the airline HQ in UK.
Accountable for effective front line supervision of 3rd party engineering and industrialization of new aircraft business class seating, to ensure compliant and on time delivery of product to meet aircraft production schedule.
Technically support meetings between customer, supplier and Airbus ensuring clear programme reporting and removing the possibility for ambiguity
Establish mutually beneficial relationships with SMEs within Supplier’s BC seat programme, with particular focus on building effective working relations in both production and assembly facilities.
Explore options as to how additional value can be added to supplier relationships
Provide technical input to a weekly report, providing clear updates for project status, targets and performance.
Support weekly telephone conference call between the airline, Supplier and Airbus.
Develop a strong working relationship with the Supplier ensuring customer expectations are understood, achievable and are met or exceeded to ensure a product of high quality is delivered
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve performance, relationships and drive innovation and results
Expedite customer acceptance and support clearance of outstanding technical issues, ensuring original requirements are satisfied
Working with the airline technical lead and SRM to managing the supplier to ensure the airline's quality standards are maintained or exceeded, as well as liaising with the airline's Source Inspector to facilitate the creation of a GCA document.
Flag possible technical risks or issues early on and work with Supplier & Technical lead to come up with solutions or mitigations to reduce impact to time, cost or quality Organise and participate in on-site meetings through design review to production
Liaise with those on the shop floor to listen to any technical concerns or challenges being faced on the programme.
Ensure supplier plans are in line with milestones outlined by the A350 Programme plan
Identification and subsequent mitigation or realisation of project risks, issues and opportunities within the programme
Compile a weekly report for the A350 Cabin Project Team to ensure all
relevant parties are aware of project status, targets and performance.
French Speaking – willing to work at two different French locations during the week, as well as the airline HQ in UK.
Significant experience of on site Technical Supplier Management
