Quality Manager Component Services (f/m) - Ref. OQM

Your tasks:
  • To plan and ensure an effective Quality Management System within Component Services in accordance with relevant requirements published by appropriate National Aviation Authorities and / or other international standards, e.g. EN 9110, ISO 9001
  • To support the Safety Officer in further developing and improving the SRT group-wide Safety Management System (SMS)
  • To prepare annual Audit Plan for Component Services and support coordination of Group Audit Plan
  • To check the implementation of the Quality Management System through Quality Audits according to the Audit plan and support Business Units in the implementation of a close loop process for quality related findings (audits, occurences) in developing action plans from findings
  • To support the continuous improvement process with main focus on Component Services aiming for failure cost reductions and process/procedure improvements
  • To liaise with customer, authorities, suppliers and all SRT Business Units with main focus on Component Services quality matters
  • To support and facilitate customer Audits as well as Authority Audits in close cooperation with Group Aviation Authority Compliance
  • To advise on quality and safety management themes and training within Component Services
  • To follow operational risk management within Component Services and support results for implementation
  • The interpretation of the aviation and international standards to update audit questionnaire and support the Business Units
  • To monitor the Component Services quality & safety key elements and initiating of required corrective and preventive actions
  • Statistically analyzing and reporting of findings to show areas of concentrated risks/concerns
  • To track the progress of essential quality & safety criteria and ensure on-going communication with Component Services managers for quality & safety issues in their areas
  • To escalate any shortfalls/deviations at earliest possible stage
  • To challenge and follow up on root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions closed (effectiveness and risk reduction)
  • To ensure the continuous development of safety culture within Component Services
  • To support and facilitate Part-21G production activities
  • To support and facilitate Training Needs Analysis within Component Services
  • Overseeing Quality & Safety (e.g. Inspectors, Certifying Staff) within Component Services and departments independent of organizational reporting line
  • To conduct vendor audits


Your profile:
  • Bachelor of science degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years work experience within aviation
    thereof 2 years experience in quality & safety management systems and 2 years experience in components is desired
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations: EASA Part 145, Part 147, Part 66, Part 21, Part M, 14 CFR 145 and international standards EN9110 and ISO 9000
  • Extensive experience of process and project management
  • Lean Six Sigma (“Yellow Belt”) or higher
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (C1), German language skills are highly desirable
  • Good knowledge and understanding of SAP as well as MS Office
  • A positive attitude with strong work ethics and a high degree of flexibility
  • Customer and team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think logically and strategically
