Main activities: Airspace Performance Assessor
The Airspace Performance Assessor will be assisting with detailed analysis of proposed operational changes and technical support for airspace related projects. The role will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the airports noise abatement procedures and promote continuous improvement in flight performance in particular, noise and track keeping identifying any areas of poor performance and communicating these to the relevant operators, applying sanctions for violations where required.
Monitor adherence to the Noise Control Scheme including;
Manage the maintenance of the owned airspace charts
Co-ordinate the design, submission, trials and consultations of airspace changes.
Work with stakeholders/customers and other departments to understand the causal factors of impaired airspace performance and identify potential new ways of working.
Prepare presentations and data analysis to respond to queries relating to operational performance both internally and for use at community/stakeholder forums.
Work with airlines to identify opportunities for reductions in noise and emissions.
Collate, produce and where necessary design ad-hoc and routine reports and be accountable for their accuracy, analysis, executive summary, commentary and timely delivery
Produce detailed ad-hoc analysis on airspace performance areas
Attend internal and external meetings as required.
Support the logging investigating and responding to noise complaints from the community.
Ideal candidate's profile:
Degree in Aviaition.
Proven ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and high standards in the delivery of timely outputs
Must be customer focussed and capable of delivering excellent service
Superb comunication skills
Adaptable person willing to learn new tasks as well as being keen in assisting the development of both the department and operation as a whole
Previous airspace/airfield experience is desirable but not essential
