Our fixed wing client based in the United Kingdom is currently seeking a Stores Inspector to join their maintenance team based at Doncaster.
The Stores Inspector is a post which has responsibilities across all aspects of our client's business activities - the function is to support Design (DOA), Production (POA) and Maintenance (MOA) with regard to procurement and stores activity. Your Line Manager is the Stores Supervisor and you are responsible for the following:
a. Raising and transmission of Requests for Quotation (RFQ) followed by dissemination within our client to the appropriate point of contact.
b. Raising and transmission of Purchase Orders (POs), allocated to the correct number (DOA) work number (POA) or work order (MOA).
c. Maintaining Production and Maintenance stores facilities including good received, goods allocated and return of items with specific responsibility for the incoming inspection of components, parts, materials, tools and equipment, the related classification, segregation and storage according to the manufacturer's recommendations and any EASA/CAA regulations.
d. The issue of parts and special tooling to the correct number (DOA) work number (POA) or work pack (MOA).
e. Assist the Stores Supervisor or Head of Procurement and Stores with performing periodic checks on personnel tool boxes and maintain appropriate records.
f. Oversight of junior staff members where appropriate.
g. To support the cleanliness, tidiness and upkeep of the Production and Maintenance stores.
h. To support the day-to-day running of the Production and Maintenance stores.
i. Understand and be able to, effectively, operate the maintenance control software.
j. Have a working knowledge of the POA exposition, and carry out your duties to the approved procedures.
k. Have a working knowledge of the MOA exposition, and carry out your duties to the approved procedures.
