B1 Licensed Engineer - Liverpool

Luton, Bedfordshire, England

At easyJet, we're proud to be the number one low cost airline in the UK; and Luton is where it all started some 20years ago. Since then we have reinvented European air travel. That took innovation, energy, digital disruption and persistence. We're always looking ahead, being inventive and finding new ways to deliver for our customers. That's generation easyJet. And nowhere is this more the case than amongst our Engineering department.

Maintaining our fleet of over 250 Airbus aircraft operating over 1600 sectors a day, we demand high standards of our engineering team. If you have the skills and drive to work as part of our innovative team maintaining one of the largest and youngest fleets in Europe, take up the challenge and read on.

Due to increase in fleet and operation, we are now looking for a B1 Licensed Engineer to join us at our Line Maintenance Engineering facility at Liverpool. Exercising your license/approval, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet; ensuring that the required standards are met and the operating programme is achieved in an efficient and safe manner.

You will also be responsible for assisting in the departure of any aircraft that may be preparing for departure at handover times, carrying out a full and comprehensive verbal handover.

Responsibilities will include:

Record and issue certificates of release to service for the work accomplished and review the work and resources allocated and required to ensure expedient rectification of defects.

Accountable for advising the Station Manager of any impending service disruptions, or areas of concern that may have an impact on the operating programme.

Define priorities to the team, ensuring that efficient use of resources is channelled to an 'on time' and safe flight departure.

Ensure that all documentation and its certification are completed in a timely manner and to defined procedures in order to meet Company and Customer Procedures and legislation.

Compile and report of Technical Delay/Out of Service Reports. Recording significant defects, discrepancies, incidents and events.

Hold EASA Part 66 B1 license and authorisation or equivalent on company A320 aircraft.

Able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness legislation.

Have operational experience in a line maintenance environment.

Proven ability to communicate issues to management.

High degree of customer focus - both internal and external.

Able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently, in all levels of the organisation.

Willingness to be flexible in order to meet deadlines, overcome operational problems, embrace change and drive improvements within the business.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.

Proficient in IT.

Please be aware that this role involves working on a roster pattern, working days and night shifts.

What's the deal?

At easyJet, our goal is to inspire a whole generation of travellers to say "yes" to new experiences and opportunities. Our people are at the heart of our success and we think it's important that we share the benefits of our success with them. Travel perks, individually tailored benefits, bonuses linked to both your and the company's performance - you'll enjoy it all here.
