The Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme is at the leading edge of airline pilot training innovation and provides more opportunity than ever to launch an airline pilot career with Europe’s leading airline.

Selected by easyJet from day one, you will embark upon one of four training routes; each one will take you directly to the role of co-pilot on Airbus A320 aircraft, flying easyJet routes around Europe.

Route 4 of the Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme is designed to provide eligible CPL/MEIR holders with a relevant, advanced training programme, leading directly to a career as an easyJet co-pilot.

Successful candidates will be provided with a conditional offer of placement as an easyJet co-pilot and a place on CTC Aviation’s easyJet Airline Qualification Course (AQC) - an airline approved Multi-Crew Co-operation/Jet Orientation Course (MCC/JOC).

Delivered exclusively by CTC Aviation at our Crew Training Centre in Southampton (UK) on latest-generation flight simulation devices, the programme is designed to fully prepare pilots for easyJet multi-crew operations. Successful completion of training will result in a seamless transition into easyJet A320 type rating training and line flying.

Leg 1 Application and selection process

Airline Resourcing and Selection Centre – Dibden Manor, UK

A comprehensive selection process with CTC Aviation and easyJet.

Leg 2 Groundschool

Classroom and computer based

Crew Training Centre – Southampton, UK

This phase covers airline manuals and procedure; complex aircraft characteristics and flight path management; and the airline operating environment including flight planning, performance and an -analysis of ‘the typical flight’.

We will also introduce you to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), flight deck management, checklist usage and flight profiles.

2 Days

Leg 3 CRM

Classroom and computer based

Crew Training Centre – Southampton, UK

Foundation level airline Crew Resource Management course.

3 days

Leg 4 Multi-Crew Co-operation

Jet Simulator, Crew Training Centre – Southampton or London Gatwick, UK

5 x shared four-hour simulator sessions in our B737 or A320 jet simulator with the emphasis on multi-crew operation in a Line Orientated Flight Training (LOFT) environment.

5 days

Leg 5 Advanced Simulator Details

A series of 4-hour shared simulator details designed to develop key advanced handling skills, with further exercises dedicated to non-normal flight path management. This includes ‘Final Assessment’ which will assess your qualification for proceeding to easyJet A320 type-rating training.

Completion of training to the required standard will allow you to progress to progress to Legs 6 and 7.

Leg 6 Aircraft Type Specific Training

Jet Simulator

CTC Aviation

Simulator and aircraft training including advanced UPRT.

Leg 7 Line Flying

Line Orientated Experience (LOE) and Line Check. You will also complete Safety, Emergency and Procedures training (SEP)

FINANCE
The funding required for Route 4 is £39,750 This comprises two instalments:
  • AQC Course – £9,750 (including 3 weeks self-catered accommodation)
  • Type Rating - £30,000 (paid on completion of AQC and prior to commencing type rating training)
ENROLMENT
Minimum requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years of age upon commencement of training
  • Have the unrestricted right to live and work in the EEA or Switzerland
  • Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C or above, including maths, science and English language
  • Hold either one of the following: O Two A-Levels at grades C or above (or equivalent and excluding general studies and critical thinking) or o A Degree at 2:2 or above or a further qualification e.g. Masters or Doctorate
  • Be fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Produce a clear Criminal Record Check basic disclosure certificate before training can commence
  • Minimum height 5’ 2” (157cm) with maximum commensurate with Airbus flight deck requirements
  • Be able to obtain an EASA Class 1 medical without restrictions
